| Notes/Description | : | The MS. contains the following four S’iksas: - ( I ) वशिष्ठशिक्षा which enumerates the number of Rcs i.e. verses from the Rgveda contained in the Madhyandina s’akha of the White Yajurveda. cf. Ind. Ant, vol. V. p. 196. ( II ) कात्यायनीशिक्षा. This differs materially from the Katyayani S'iksa. as given above. See No. 2. Here it is accompanied by a commentary and the following is the full text of the S'iksa. (III) गौतमीशिक्षा. It is in two prapathakas, and belongs to the Samaveda. (IV) माण्ड्व्यशिक्षा consisting of 41 s’lokas,belongs to the White Yajurveda. |
