Notes/Description : Another commentary called Dipika on the Kalpasutra. It was composed by Jayavijaya, pu.of Vimalaharsa, pu. of Vijayadanauri of the Tapa Gaccha, in Sam. 1677, when Vijayanandasuri,successor of Vijayatilakasuri was at the head of the Gaccha. Bhavavijaya assisted our author in correcting it. It was first copied out by the author himself at the request of his pupil Vrddhivijaya.This Jayavijaya must be distinguished from another author of the same name and belonging to the same Gaccha. This latter was a pu. of Devavijaya, Dharmavijaya and Ramavijaya Gagis and wrote in Sam. 1671 his commentary on the S’obhanastuti; (see Bhandarkar, Report, 1883-84, Add. & Corr. p. VII. इन्दुरसाब्धीन्दु =1671.The rule अङ्कानां वामनो गति: is obviously violated here; but I have noticed several cases of this type; see next number).
