Notes/Description : Sadavas'yakasutra is a collection of the texts which are required to be repeated at the daily performance of the six Aves'yakas i. e.Caityavandana, Kayotsarga, Guruvandana,Samayika, Pratikramana and Pratyakhyana (This is the order in which they are given in the MSS.)- Many of these are found preserved in the S’isyahita, which is Haribbadra’s commentary on Bhadrabahu’s Avas’yaka-niryukti. Some of them e. g. II. E, even formed part of the text of the Avas’yakasutra, which was explained by Bhadrabahu in his Niryukti. A greater part of Bhadrahahu’s text of the Avas’yakasutrahowever, seems to have been lost in course of time and replaced by other matter. See Weber,II. p.739 f. n. and I. A. 21, p. 329 ff.The first of the three MSS. gives also the full text of the Vandittu Sutra (see above Nos.1527-28) before the text of the Pratyakhyana. The other two do not give it at all. Devendra and Merusundara (see below Nos. 1532-35 ) give it after Pratyakhyana. The following is obviously the form of the Sutra, known to Haribhadra and the authors of Vandarn Vrtti and Caityavandana Bhasya, as also to Tampaprabha in Sam. 1411. The references given below are to the edition of Haribhadra's S’isyahita, published by the Agamodaya Samiti,Surat. Also see below No. 1601.
