Atmanus’asana—‘advice to the soul’—-consists of 267 S’lokas, composed by a Digambara writer,Gunabhadra, pupil of Jinasena. Jinasena composed his Harivans'a in A. D. 783 and Uttarapurana of our Gunabhadra was consecrated in A.D. 898 by his pupil Lokasena, when Akalavarsa of the Restrakuta dynasty was reigning. See Bhandarkar, Report, 1883-84, p. 118 ff.
