A work on the poetic sentiments by Sinha Mahipati or S’ingha Bhupala. The MS. contains only two chapters having 190 and 253 s’lokas respectively. Cf. Burnell, Tanjore MSS., p. 57 a:_‘the nominal author is said to have been a Tanjore prince of the last contury (i. e. 18th. ).Published in the Trivendram Sanskrt Series, Vol. 50. Our MS. much differs from the printed text ; vv. 4-55 of ch.1, containing information about the author are not found here. Acc. to these “it was written by S'inghabhupala of the Recalls dynasty who ruled over the country lying between the Vindhyas and S’ris’aila, of which Rajacalam was the heriditary capital.” M. S'esagiri S’astri, MSS. Report, 1896-97, pp. 7-10.fixes the date of our author at about 1330 A. D.,on the authority of a biographical sketch of the Rajas of Venkatagiri. |
