Notes/Description : Bijaganita with a commentary, variously called Navankura, Pallava or Kalpalatavatara,composed during the reign of Emperor Jehangir(A. D. 1605-1627 ) by Krsna, son of Ballala, son of Trimalla, son of Rama, son of Cintamani.Krsna was a pupil of Visnu, who was a pupil of Nrsinha, .nephew of Ganes’a, son of Kes’ava of Nandigrama. Krsna’s younger brother Ranganatha wrote in 1603 A. D., a commentary on the Suryasiddhanta (see No. 295 below) and his nephew and pupil Vis’varupa, son of Ranganatha,wrote a commentary called Marici on Ganitadhyaya and Goladhyaya of the Siddhan-tas’iromani and completed his Siddhantasarva-bhauma in A.
