| Notes/Description | : | Jyotisakalpataru is a course of Astrology in several skandhas, of which our MS. contains only (a part of) the Laukikaskandha. The Laukikaskandha contains eleven adhyayas, for the contents of which, cf. Mitra, Notices, vol V. pp. 73-74. Also, see Peterson, Reports, III. No.397; Stein, p. 162 and Buhler, Gujrat Cata.,IV. p.138. Ulwar Cata., No. 1788 is a copy of the Jatakaskandha of our work. The author is Kavicudamani, who also seems to have written Pras’nasara (Peter., Reports, IV. No.944) and Pras’nacudamani (Buhler, Guj., Cata, IV. p. 158 ).The author quotes Ratnamala, Daivajna- cintamani, Jyotirnibandha, Bhasvati and Megha-mala besides the Siddhantas. |
