A very extensive work in more than 100 chap- ters, ascribed to Vis’vakarma. The work has the form of a dialogue between Vis’vakarma and Narada. It appears to be divided into three parts; the first ends on fol. 25 as follows :— Then follows a detailed description of the preparation of the idols of various gods. Then comes the प्रतिमानविचार.It would seem, from the concluding verses that the MS. belonged to one Kes'ava, son of Manirama, and a resident of Tryambakes'var (near Nasik) in the Deccan; he belonged to the Gauda caste. The MS. is without beginning, the first five folios being lost. In some places the text is accompanied by explanation in Gujrati. |
