Notes/Description : The MS. contains abnikas II to VII and a portion of the VIIIth, of the lst pada of the first adhyaya. The first two folios of the second ahnika are also wanting. S'abdakaustubha is a commentary on Panini’s Sutras by Bhattoji Dixit, the author of Siddhantakaumudi, and is supposed to be left unfinished. Cf. Bod. Cata, No. 352; Burnell, Tanjore MSS., p. 39 and I. O., Nos. 607-608. It is, however, known to exist upto the end of the 4th adhyaya. See Gov.Or. MSS. Library Cata. Madras, No. 1328, which goes up to the fifth ahnika of the third adhyaya. For Bhattoji’s history &c, consult Belwalkar, Systems, pp. 46-48. He wrote his Siddhantakaumudi about 1625 A. D.
