A work on Horoscopy in eight chapters, composed by Alaves'vara, son of Vamana. Alaves’vara wrote this work seeing that the Jatakapaddhati written by the earlier writers was too difficult to comprehend. Alaves’vara surely lived after the 11th century since he quotes Bhojadeva’s Rajamrganka. He must have also been earlier than 1497 A. D. which is the date of the present MS. He was probably a S’akta; see v. 388 below. The first three folios of the MS. are lost.The adhyayas respectively contain 110, 11, .113,
