Notes/Description : S’ambhuhoraprakas’a is a work on Horoscopy in several adhyayas composed by Punjaraja,pupil of Madhava. The work was composed by the order of King S’ambhu, whose birth-date is given as 1663-64 A. D. in the Astavargayussadhanadhyaya by the author himself. See below No. 376. This S’ambhu is also said to be the son of S'ivadasa, the son of Pakvavhaji, ruling at Nandidvar. The work, therefore, seems to be compiled towards the close of the 17th or the beginning of the 18th century. For another MS. of the work, see Bik. No. 716; Stein, p. 173.
