Prasadamandana is a work on Architecture, in eight chapters, composed by Sutradhara Mandana,who was in the employ of Kumbhakarna, King of Mevad, who ruled over the country from 1419 to 1469 A. D. Mandana appears to have written at least four works on the ‘art of Building’:—Prasadamandana, Rajavallabhamandana, Vastusara and Vastumandana, all except the third,ending with his name. O., No. 3147 and especially Bhandarkar, Report,1882-83, p. 37.King Kumbhakarna was a great patron of Arts and Literature and was himself the author of some works on Music and a commentary,especially explaining the musical side, on Jayadeva’s Gitagovinda; see below, No. 1191.During the reign of this Kumbhakarna, in Samvat 1492, a MS. of Haribhadra’s commentary
