A S’iksa ascribed to Narada. It is in two prapathakas of eight chapters each and belongs to the Samaveda. cf. Indian Antiquary, vol. V. p. 195. "The authorities quoted are:- Narada, Kas'yapa, Tumburu, Soma s’arman, Vasistha and Prachina Audavraji." The khandas of the first prapathaka have I5,16, 9, 12, 20, 22 19, and 11 s’lokas in order. The chapters have 11, 18, 11, 9, 11, 27, 11 and 31 s’lokas respectively. For another MS., see Weber, II. p. 93. It appears that vv. 8 to 24 of the last chapter are missing in this MS. The MS. was copied from one belonging to Raoji Maharaj. |
