Notes/Description | : | A small treatise on the nature and classification of horses, composed by Sukhananda, son of Valha Jisnu, surnamed Jos'i. The work is divided into several adhyayas, some of which consist of one s’loka only. Our Ms. contains the first 17 adhyayas and a part of the 18th.Nothing is known about the date of our author. He refers to the famous S'alihotra, son of As’vaghosa and the father of Sus’ruta, and also to one Yajnadatta in connection with the age of horses. |
