Notes/Description : Vakyapadiya of Bhartrhari, whose literary activities are to be ascribed to the first half of the seventh century A. D., as he is mentioned as having died in 651—52 A. D. by the Chinese traveller Itsing; (cf. Itsing, translated by J. Tekakusu,p. 178.) accompanied by the commentary of Punyaraja. The MS. contains only the second of the three kandas.
