Notes/Description : Nityotsavanibandha is a tantric work based on Paras'urama's Kalpasutra ; it has seven chapters and was composed in A. D. 1745 by Umanandanatha, pupil of Bhasuranandanatha, otherwise known as Bhaskararaya, son of Gambhiraraya. Bhaskararaya lived in the beginning of the 18th century; see below No. 920. Umanandanatha wrote his Hrdayamrta in Kali Samvat 4843 i. e. A. D. 1742; see Stein, p. 226. He was a Maharastra (Des’astha) Brahmin. His name before the Diksa was Jagannatha; S'rutapetava was his surname. He was honoured at the court of a Maratha Prince of Cola; see below. Published in the Gaekavad Oriental Series, as the second part of Paras’urama's Kalpasutra.I possess a complete copy of this work in the Bhadakamakara Memorial Collection (see under No. 572).
