Sâ akatayanaâ s Sâ abdanusâ asana with the commentary of Yaksavarma. For Sâ akatayana and his grammar, cf. Ind. Anti, Vol. XVI. p. 24; Vol. XLIII. p. 205. In the latter place, K. B. Pathaka concludes :- â The conclusion to which we come is that the Jaina S'akatayana wrote both the text and commentry' in the Amoghavrtti and lived between S'aka 736 and 789."
